¶ If you didn't buy my Perfect Corporate Blogging Elevator Pitch, then let me show you some real blogs...
- Rick E. Brunner started a new weblog - Business Blog Consulting /RSS featuring examples of business weblogs, organized in categories, and resources on this topic. The weblog's goal is to demonstrate "how effective weblogs can be for communicating with customers and marketing to new customer prospects." A great resource if you're trying to show - as opposed to explain - a businessperson how weblogs can be used in a corporate setting. [Thanks to Rex Hammock for the link.]
- ... but if you want to see how persuasive you can be, and how can you charm someone only by the choice of words and mastery of arguments, then take this challenge:
A business executive, with whom you have been trying to arrange a meeting, is available for a condensed pitch from you on a one minute elevator ride.
Read the rules, and be ready for wonderful sur-prizes :) Deadline to submit your 'Perfect' Corporate Weblogging 'Elevator Pitch': April 15.
It is your goal to convince this attentive business leader - who has heard about weblogs, and in fact reads a few regularly- to sponsor and resource a critical mass of weblogs in his/her organization so that their benefits can be demonstrated in a meaningful way.
It's a long elevator ride to the top floor of the Sears Tower in Chicago - [1,354 feet at 1600 feet/minute!] - visual aids are not available and your entry will be judged on your ability to present your pitch "on the fly" - just text.
